This is the sacred path that connects the places where Saint Francis of Assisi lived and preached — a pilgrimage offering a living experience of the Saint, on the very lands he once walked.
The beauty of the landscapes and the nature surrounding me throughout this journey are the same that once filled Francis’s heart with joy. The memory of his words and gestures, the people I will meet along the way, the towns and villages I will pass through — all will bring me closer to this luminous being who brought so much goodness to the world. The Northern Route, entirely within the region of Umbria, remains — and will always remain — the land of Francis, nourished by a spirituality that speaks of love for simple things, respect and gratitude for creation, and the generous welcoming of others, whoever they may be.
Love is contagious, and it always finds a solution where reason sees none.
